2017 4-H CAMPS

Are you looking for adventure this summer?  Madison County   4-H offers a variety of camps over the summer just for you.  So come join in all the fun and meet new people. All camps are for youth between the ages of 8 to 18 (must be 8 by September 1, 2016) unless otherwise noted.

Speciality CAMPS

ALL Speciality Camps are available to 4-H and non 4-H participants.  Speciality Camps and Workshops are offered throughout the year so keep checking this page for updated camps and information. 


ALL Day Campers are required to bring a sack lunch unless otherwise noted.  Camps include a mid-afternoon snack and refreshments.  To register campers you will need to fill out the Camp Registration Form and a 4-H Participation Form.  Forms and fees need to be submitted to the Madison County Extension Office.  FLYER

Sewing Day Camp
June 5th - 8th
AGES 8 to 12
TIMES:  9:00AM to NOON
COST:  $15 per camper + sewing supplies
Limited to 12 youth

Arts & Crafts Day Camp
July 10th - 12th
AGES:  8 to 12
COST:  $15 per camper

Farm to Family Breakfast Day Camp
July 18th - 20th
AGES: 8 - 14
Join us for this multi-county adventure! Explore the Farms to Table process with a classic American food!  ***Those with peanut allergies are discouraged from attending***
TIMES: This varies daily due to travel - schedule will be provided when dates are closer to those attending.
COST:  $40 per camper
Limited to 7 youth


4-H Camp Cherry Lake - Overnight Camp
June 19 - June 23

Join your friends from Madison and make new ones when we camp with Hamilton, Baker, Bradford and Union Counties for this week long overnight experience.  Eligible campers must be 8-12 years of age (You must have turned 8 years old by September 1, 2016).  Youth ages 13+ may only attend as counselor and have fulfilled those requirements.  Camping activities include archery, canoeing, swimming, science experiments, GPS mapping and recreation just to name a few.

Cost:  $230
            $75 Deposit is REQUIRED at time of registration

If you are 13 or older please see Ms. Becky for Counselor Training dates and requirements.  You may attend open enrollment camps if you don't want to be a counselor.



4-H LEGISLATURE - JUNE 26 - June 30, 2017
2017 Florida 4-H Legislature is open to Senior 4-H'ers ages 14 to 18 as of September 1 of the current 4-H year.  Senior 4-H'ers (ages 14-18) come develop your skills to dabate, analyze legislation and speak publically all while making new friends and having a whole lot of fun.  At this civic education event, you can sponsor a bill, amend, or lobby it, then debate the issues on the Capitol House and Senate floors with your friends.  To apply for a position as a State Representative, Lobbyist or Reporter go online to http://florida.4Honline.com. 4-H UNIVERSITY - JULY 31 - August 3, 2017
Open to 4-H youth ages 14-18 (by September 1st of current program year).  Held on the campus of the University of Florida during the summer, this is a fabulous week in which 4-H members can have fun and learn alongside other 4-H'ers from all over Florida.  Congress is divided into competitive and non-competitive sessions.  The non-competitive portion is devoted to educational workshops on a variety of subjects addressing the interests of Florida's youth.
The competitive portion of the event is where first place senior District Winners compete against other District Winners in a variety of events.  County 4-H Teams also compete against one another in various Judging Team Contests.  To register youth need togo online to http://florida.4Honline.com.  Deadline for ALL registrations is June 9, 2017.  For more information about 4-H University visit Florida 4-H.
